I just registered for the NGO Consultation Day, February 21st.
The break out sessions offered are:
Gender responsive products; the role of men and boys;
Science and technology education and training;
Barriers, including psycho-social issues;
Review theme: Discrimination and Violence against the girl child. I chose the Science and Technology Training, and Barrieres, including psycyo-social.
This is always a great day to hear from others about the issues in their country, and the work of other NGOs.
The Commission on the Status of Women will be meeting in New York from February 22nd to March 4th, 2011. The theme this year is access and participation of women and girls to education, training, science and technology, including for the promotion of women’s equal access to full employment and decent work
